Meghalaya: Two govt offices in Ri Bhoi shut after staff test COVID positive

The closure of these two government offices was to facilitate the health officials in conducting contact tracing and sanitising the premises.

Two government offices in Ri Bhoi District of Meghalaya have been temporarily shut after a few staff members tested positive for COVID-19.

The two government offices include the Byrnihat Police Outpost and the Umden Primary Health Centre.

The closure of these two government offices was to facilitate the health officials in conducting contact tracing and sanitising the premises.

It may be mentioned that Meghalaya registered 560 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday with 21 new deaths. The cumulative active cases now stand at 4338 with 301 total deaths.
