Meghalaya: CM Conrad Sangma receives appreciation for COVID handling

A delegation of the National Peoples' Youth Front (NPYF) congratulated Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Thursday, and appreciated the efforts and initiatives taken by the NPP-led government to fight the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.

A delegation of the National Peoples' Youth Front (NPYF) congratulated Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Thursday, and appreciated the efforts and initiatives taken by the NPP-led government to fight the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.

Talking about the hardships and problems faced by vulnerable sections of society due to the ongoing COVID crisis, the NPYF delegation also said that the youth front will organise a series of online career counselling and mental health programmes in Khasi, Garo and English to provide support to the youths and the government.

Working president of NPYF Nickey Nongkhlaw also applauded the Meghalaya Youth Policy 2021 stating that the soon-to-be-implemented policy “aims to accommodate the aspirations of lakhs of youths” in choosing a career option.

Nongkhlaw stated that the policy will help the youths in the region to harness their potential and skills which will help them position themselves in the volatile job market.
