Meghalaya: BSF seizes magnet pieces worth over two lakh from Dawki

According to the Meghalaya BSF tweet, the magnets were worth around Rs 2,41,150 and have been kept in the outpost station.

The Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya Frontier, on Monday, seized over 1190 magnet pieces from Dawki, located along the Indo-Bangladesh border. 


According to the Meghalaya BSF tweet, the magnets were worth around Rs 2,41,150 and have been kept in the outpost station. 


The security force added that the magnets were smuggled from Bangladesh to India through Dawki, a border village located in West Jaintia Hills district.


It may also be mentioned that the BSF troops in Bagli, South West Khasi Hills district had on Sunday ceased a vehicle loaded with 2000 kg of smuggled dry peas brought from Bangladesh.
