Meghalaya: Bharat ka Amrut Mahotsav celebrated in East Garo Hills

The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), East Garo Hills, celebrated the ‘Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ at Dorengkigre village on March 12.

The celebration witnessed the participation of most of the villagers, including the Nokmas and Sardars.

While addressing the gathering, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) and DLSA Secretary Chisak G Momin spoke about the Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav, which is celebrated across the country to commemorate 75 years of India’s independence.

Meanwhile, Legal Aid Counsel Jan N Arengh, while speaking about the “Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987,” informed the gathering of the fact that the DLSA provides free legal services to underprivileged people.
