KSU South West Khasi Hills circle extends support to rally in memory of late Cheristerfield

Extending support to the peace rally called by 'Sur na Shathie sepngi jong ka Ri Khasi' (voice of people from the South West Khasi Hills), the Khasi Students' Union (KSU), South West Khasi Hills circle, has appealed to people from all walks of life to attend the rally organised to condemn the killing of ex-militant Cheristerfield Thangkhiew.

The peace rally will begin from Mawkyrwat C & RD block at 1 pm on Saturday and culminate at Mawkyrwat Market. whereby a meeting will also be held to ensure peace and security prevails in the state, said a statement issued by the circle. On Thursday, the vice president of the circle, Shemphang Nonglang appealed to the people of South West Khasi Hills and Mawsynram to participate in the peace rally and a candlelight vigil called in the memory of late Thangkhiew.
