Meghalaya Health Minister to request Shah to inaugurate Liquid Medical Oxygen tank at Umsawli

Health Minister Alexander Laloo Hek has said that a request will be made to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah for the inauguration of the Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) tank at COVID Step Down Hospital in Umsawli on his arrival.

Speaking to reporters about Shah's visit on July 17, Hek said, “Since the Union Home Minister is coming to Shillong, I will request, through the party, to inaugurate the project.”

Earlier on Tuesday, the Health Minister inspected the 13 kilolitres LMO tank at COVID Step Down Hospital hospital, and informed that the health facility will house the paediatric wards and adult wards.

“There a total of 50 beds at Step Down Hospital, 7 ICUs are meant for paediatrics, 20 beds and 9 ICUs are meant for adults,” Hek added.
