Meghalaya: Health Dept will collect data of returnees who received Covaxin from other states says Dr Aman Warr
DHS Director (MI) Aman Warr said that the department will collect data of those persons (returnees) who have received Covaxin from other states.
“When we see a lot of cases coming from outside with Covaxin, then we will indent Covaxin. As of now, we are not having Covaxin, once we collect the data how many of them, we may indent Covaxin,” he said.
The state of Meghalaya is providing the COVISHIELD injection to the residents and there should not be a mixing of Covaxin and COVISHIELD said Warr.
Warr added that if a person has given Covaxin outside, then he/she has to go to Gauhati to get the vaccine for which there will be a tie-up.
