NONGPOH:

After one of the frontline organisation, the ASHA’s fraternity which served a one-week ultimatum to the state government to meet their long pending demands, the Hynniewtrep Achik National Movement (HANM) on Wednesday have extended their support to the fraternity.

President Pateng Myrsing, HANM Ri-Bhoi district said, “The organisation is very concerned over the plight meted by the ASHA’s fraternity who themselves have rendered their valuable service to the people of the state.”

Myrsing added, the ASHA workers have brought to light their genuine demands and their struggles in serving the people in containing the spread of COVID-19 but their problems have not been heard till date.

It may be noted that HANM has asked the state government to meet the demands of the ASHAs at the earliest before any drastic action would be taken by the fraternity or either by the organisation.
