Funds allocated to GHADC not diverted: Meghalaya Finance Department
The state Finance Department on Monday informed the funds allocated to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) under the 15th Finance Commission grants have not been diverted.
In a statement issued here, the Secretary of Finance Department, Government of Meghalaya has informed that the funds are with the State Government and the process for release of the same is underway.
“Reports appearing in the media that the funds allocated to the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) under the 15th Finance Commission grants have been diverted, are incorrect. It is being clarified that the funds are with the State Government and the process for release of the same is underway,” the Secretary stated.
