Taking a jibe at the Congress party, Health and Family Welfare Minister, Alexander Laloo Hek said that the Congress is dreaming of hoping to come to power in 2023.

“As of now, there is no hope for the Congress to revive themselves either in Meghalaya or at the Centre. The leaders in the party(Congress) must be dreaming. The BJP will continue to rule the country and the state for another ten years,” Hek told reporters here today.

On the claim of AICC secretary in-charge Meghalaya, Manish Chatrath that no other parties have worked like the Congress during the past 10 months, he said that this claim by the Congress leader must be a joke.

“I am not sure what kind of work the Congress must have done during these ten months of COVID-19 pandemic,” said Hek.

Earlier, the AICC secretary-in-charge Chatrath had claimed that the Congress will come back to power in the state in 2023 since the people are fed up with the NPP-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) government.
