Meghalaya BJP minister seeks early sanctioning of Rabindranath Tagore Culture Complex

Meghalaya Arts and Culture Minister Sanbor Shullai, on Friday, met Union Minister of Culture and Tourism G.K Reddy in Delhi, seeking early sanctioning of the New Rabindranath Tagore Culture Complex at Rilbong, Shillong.

The proposed Centre will come under the Tagore cultural complex (TCC) scheme for the state of Meghalaya.

State BJP Minister, Shullai met Reddy in Delhi to discuss the Central Ministry's plan of action for the development of arts and culture initiatives in the state.

In a statement issued here, Shullai stated that the establishment of the complex would be a token of appreciation for the state for the completion of 50 years of statehood in 2022.

He also requested the Union Minister to release the pending project of the Meghalaya Tourism Development Corporation, which was initiated when he was the chairman of the corporation. According to Shullai, Reddy has assured him that he will look into the matter.
