The Autumn Session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly will commence on September 10 and will go on for a week till September 17, 2021, informed Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh.

In a video message, Lyngdoh said that the Business Advisory Committee of the Assembly, represented by Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, Leader of Opposition Dr Mukul Sangma and MLAs — Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh and Balajied Kupar Synrem — had met to decide on the calendar.

It was decided that three days will be reserved for government business and another three days for private business, Lyngdoh said.

Meanwhile, the Opposition Congress is set to train its guns on the government over several issues, the most common being the law and order situation in the city and the state, alleged corruption in several departments, unemployment, among others.
