Union Minister Ramdas Athawale on two-day visit to Manipur

Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, who famously raised the slogan “Go Corona Go” and “No Corona No”, reached Imphal on Wednesday for a two-day visit to Manipur.

Ramdas Athawale, who is the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, spoke about the various schemes undertaken by the Central government and his ministry for the people especially the scheduled tribes, scheduled caste and the other backward classes.

Athawale also praised the work of Chief Minister N. Biren Singh and stated that his party, the Republican Party of India-Athawale (RPI-A), would contest the upcoming 2022 Manipur Assembly Election in two-three seats in partnership with the BJP.

He also condemned the attack on the media house on February 13 in Imphal, Manipur.

Athawale is campaigning for actor and social worker Thounaojam Maheshwar, who is slated to contest the 2022 Assembly election from Keishamthong assembly constituency on RPI(A) ticket.
