Seven candidates from Sainik School Manipur clear NDA exam

The Chief Minister said that it was a proud moment for the entire state as the cadets from Manipur will be serving in one of the world’s most elite armed forces in the world.

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh, on Friday, announced that Seven NCC cadets from Sainik School, Imphal, have cleared the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview for National Defence Academy (NDA).

The Chief Minister said that it was a proud moment for the entire state as the cadets from Manipur will be serving in one of the world’s most elite armed forces in the world.


 

Singh said that the school has produced 13 students for NDA since September last year, which is a great achievement for the state.

The Chief Minister wished the cadets all success in their endeavour to serve the army and the nation.

It may be mentioned that the Sainik Schools established under the aegis of the Ministry of Defence prepare students mentally and physically for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Indian Naval Academy (INA).

The Northeast states of India have a total of three Sainik Schools, Sainik School Imphal, Sainik School Golapara and Sainik School Nagaland, that prepare students to join the army through NDA and other similar exams.
