IMPHAL:
Barely a day after Manipur’s Thokchom Sanamacha Chanu clinched gold medal at the 75 kg women’s boxing category in the 30th Adriatic Pearl Tournament in Budva, Montenegro, another Manipuri, Babyrojisana Chanu, has won a gold medal at the same event.
Babyrojisana who plays in the 51 kg women’s category received her training from Mary Kom Boxing Academy in Imphal.
She defeated Junior Asian Champion Sabina Bobokulova from Uzbekistan in that close fight of 3 to 2 that helped her claimed the gold medal in the tournament.
