Manipur records highest single-day COVID spike with 433 new cases

Two more COVID-19 patients had succumbed to the virus, taking the cumulative number of deaths to 424. The recovery rate from the virus has fallen to 91.45 percent.

IMPHAL:

Manipur recorded a total of 433 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the overall tally of cases in the state to 32,956. 

With the new cases registered, a total of 2,391 persons are currently undergoing treatment for COVID-19, of which 115 are members of security forces.

According to reports, two more COVID-19 patients had succumbed to the virus on Tuesday, taking the cumulative number of deaths to 424. The recovery rate from the virus has fallen to 91.45 percent.

Meanwhile, 659 D-type oxygen cylinders and 176 B-type oxygen cylinders have been installed at various health care centres in Manipur in the last 24 hours, owing to the jump in the number of cases.
