Manipur police, Assam Rifles unearth hidden cache of arms and ammunition

IMPHAL
A joint team of CDO-Unit, Bishnupur and 16 Assam Rifles conducted an extensive search operation at Oinam Mayang Pat area which led to the recovery of a hidden cache of arms and ammunition.
The team recovered one 9 mm pistol, one .32 mm pistol, one rifle, one Chinese grenade, one 36 H-Grenade, one detonator, twelve rounds of 3.3 ammunition, one handheld set, one 9 mm magazine, one .32 mm magazine and one 3.3 rifle magazine.
Officials suspect the cache belonged to a KCP group.

The team later handed over the recovered items to Nambol Police Station.
A case was also registered for further legal action.
