Manipur Police, on Thursday, announced a cash reward of Rs 5,000 for information which could lead to the arrest of a woman who hurled hand grenades at the offices of two Manipuri dailies.

According to reports, an unidentified woman hurled Chinese-made hand grenades at the offices of Manipuri vernacular daily Poknapham and local English daily People's Chronicle on February 13.

"The damage could have been catastrophic if not for the timely intervention of the bomb disposal team," the official added.

Police have registered an FIR against the woman, and the state government has formed a special four-member investigation team (SIT) to investigate the matter.

The public may contact the Superintendent of Police (SP)- Imphal West on 9612759705 for any kind of information.
