Manipur Government declares summer vacation for all schools from May 1

According to an order issued by the state government, the decision was taken to avoid any kind of grave situation amid the surge of COVID-19 cases across the state.

IMPHAL:

The Government of Manipur, on Monday, announced that the summer vacation for all government, government-aided and private schools that are affiliated to the Board of Secondary Education and Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur, will commence from May 1 to May 31, 2021.

According to an order issued by the State Government, the decision was taken to avoid any kind of grave situation amid the surge of COVID-19 cases across the state.

"To allay the fear and apprehension among the students, teaching community, parents and guardians, as well as all concerned stakeholders schools, have been closed," the order read.

The order further stated that all the heads of schools shall arrange for detailing at least 4-5 staff members by making an appropriate daily roster to ensure as well as render unavoidable official duties during the period of vacation.

Furthermore, All concerned authorities of the schools have been instructed to make necessary arrangement for the resumption of online classes after the summer vacation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
