Manipur: DCW awards Licypriya Kangujam on International Women’s Day

NEW DELHI:

The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) awarded Manipur’s environmentalist Licypriya Kangujam on the occasion of International Women’s Day here on Monday.

Kangujam was recognised for her efforts to protect the environment and her fight against climate change.

Kangujam thanked the Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal, and urged the CM to include Climate Education as a compulsory subject in the school curriculum.

The DCW recognised many such contributions by women from across the country and awarded them on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
