Chief Ministers of Northeast India on Wednesday took to their respective Twitter handles to send greetings to civil servants on the occasion of Civil Services Day.

Chief Ministers of Northeast India on Wednesday took to their respective Twitter handles to send greetings to civil servants on the occasion of Civil Services Day.

The Government of India observes Civil Services Day on April 21 every year.

It is observed by all Civil Services and the day allows civil servants to introspect and think about future strategies to deal with the challenges posed by the changing times

"On Civil Services Day, greetings to all Civil Servants who are the backbone of our country. We salute our civil servants for their dedication towards nation-building and their commitment to public service and excellence in work," Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu tweeted.

“Extending my deepest respect and heartfelt wishes to all civil servants on Civil Services Day. The backbone of every administration, I salute the dedication of the members to the community to serve the nation,” Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal tweeted.

" Heartfelt greetings to all civil servants & their families on the occasion of Civil Service Day. I salute their dedication & hard work, which has played a crucial role in India's progress," Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh tweeted,

“Civil Service Officers play a vital role in Governance. On the occasion of the Civil Services Day, I take the opportunity to greet all the officials for their dedicated service for the people of Meghalaya and the country,” Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma tweeted.

“Greetings to all civil servants on National Civil Service Day. I thank them for their yeoman service, especially in the fight against COVID-19, and their commitment to implement government policies. My best wishes as they continue to work for the betterment of the country,” Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Roy tweeted.

"The Civil Service system is the backbone of the administrative machinery of the country through which the government delivers its services to the public. It is the civil servants who can materialise the policies of the government of the day to meet the aspirations of the people and much depends on their probity in public delivery. Without their able participation in governance, a progressive society would be a far cry," Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang wrote in a statement.

“Best wishes to all Civil Servants and their families on the occasion of Civil Services Day. The task of a civil servant is not only to provide the best services for the countrymen but also to uphold the integrity and dignity of the nation in every manner,” Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb tweeted.
