Women to play a vital role in upcoming elections: Assam BJP Mahila Morcha prez

GUWAHATI:

On the occasion of International Women's Day, Assam BJP Mahila Morcha president Aparajita Bhuyan and spokesperson Janki Khaund stated that women would play a vital role in the upcoming Assam Assembly Elections.

While addressing reporters on Monday, Bhuyan and Khaund lauded the government's role under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in empowering women across the country.

They also pinpointed the amplified turnout of women voters in India and credited women's participation for the astounding performance of the BJP in the recent Bihar elections.
