Assam: RAT test mandatory in every vaccination centre in Dibrugarh from May 26

The district administration conducted a special drive in the flood affected areas of Dibrugarh.

DIBRUGARH:

Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) test will be mandatory prior to COVID-19 vaccination in Dibrugarh from May 26.

Speaking to media persons, Nabajyoti Gogoi, district surveillance officer said, “From tomorrow in at every vaccination centre a Covid test has been made mandatory in Dibrugarh. Prior to vaccination they will have to undergo a RAT test.”

“Everyone over 40 years of age should undergo a Covid-19 test from tomorrow (May 26) in every vaccination centre,” Gogoi added.

He also said, “I appealed to everyone to maintain physical distancing, wear masks and maintain the Covid protocols in the vaccination centres. For senior citizens we have made arrangements in the vaccination centre.”

Meanwhile, the Dibrugarh district administration conducted a special drive in the flood affected areas of Dibrugarh.

“We have taken a special session in the tea belts and flood-prone areas because we have to end the vaccination drive before the floods,” Gogoi informed.
