Rangia MLA Bhabesh Kalita appointed Assam BJP president
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Jagat Prakash Nadda on Saturday appointed Rangia MLA Bhabesh Kalita as the new State President of BJP Assam.
Kalita will replace Assam Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass. This was informed by an official notification issued by the party office.
“BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda has appointed Bhabesh Kalita, MLA as State President of Assam BJP,” the official notification stated.
“The appointment comes into immediate effect,” stated an order issued by BJP national general Secretary Arun Singh.
It may be noted, Ranjeet Dass was serving the position of state BJP Assam President since January 30, 2017.
