Guwahati Rave Party: Cocaine supplier held in Delhi

A special Squad of Guwahati Police with the assistance of the Delhi Police Special Cell arrested an alleged cocaine supplier, Bishal Kusum Choudhury, in the national capital in connection with the Kharghuli rave party in Guwahati.

Taking to Twitter, Guwahati Police confirmed the report adding that he has been brought to Guwahati on Saturday.

On August 13 night, based on specific inputs about a drug party, a Special Squad of Guwahati Police had raided a flat in Riviera Apartments at Kharghuli in Guwahati and seized various contraband substances from the house.

"In connection with the seizure, a total of 18 people were arrested at the rave party. It was organised on the third floor of the Riviera Apartments, the residence of businessman Vikash Jain," a police official said.

The accused claimed that the arrested persons had gathered in the apartment to celebrate the birthday of one Amit Baruah.

"The Special Squad, with the assistance of @DelhiPolice Special Cell, picked up the accused in Delhi. He was brought to Guwahati today. Further investigations are on,” Guwahati Police tweeted.

Police said a case (no 282/21 u/s 188 IPC r/ w 20A/21B/25/29 NDPS Act) was registered at Latasil police station, adding that further investigation on the case is on.
