FlyBig airlines launches direct flight services between Assam and Arunachal

GUWAHATI: 

Private airliner FlyBig on Monday commenced direct flight operations between Guwahati and Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh as a part of the centre's regional connectivity scheme, officials from the Airport Authority of India (AAI) informed. 

Sources informed that the direct flight service will link Pasighat, Guwahati and Kolkata.

A release issued by FlyBig further said that in the next stage, Pasighat will be directly connected to Shillong in Meghalaya, while Tezu in Arunachal Pradesh will be linked with Guwahati for the convenience of the travellers. 

Operating direct flights between Guwahati and Pasighat four days a week, the direct flights under the UDAN scheme will thereby expand the economic opportunities in the northeastern region.
