Control room to address migrant workers’ grievances in Assam amid COVID curbs 

GUWAHATI:

The labour commissioner of Assam has set up a control room to mitigate the problems of migrant workers amid the resurgence of COVID-19 cases and subsequent imposition of certain restrictions by the State Government.

The aggrieved workers can contact the control room through email, grievance.migrant@gmail.com or call/WhatsApp 8099002218. 

The control room is being managed by the Labour Commissionerate of Assam.

“Migrant workers having any grievances are requested to make use of this facility. The Labour Commissionerate of Assam will make all efforts to mitigate their grievances,” read a statement issued by the office of the labour commissioner.
