CM Himanta to visit four districts of upper Assam between June 19-22

The Chief Minister will start with Tinsukia on June 19, where he will attend a review meeting with senior district officials on flood management, and thereafter he will also hold a similar meeting with the district administration of Dibrugarh on June 20.

DIBRUGARH:

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma will visit Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Dhemaji and Lakhimpur districts of upper Assam between June 19-22, and hold a series of meetings to review the flood situation in the region.

The Chief Minister will start with Tinsukia on June 19, where he will attend a review meeting with senior district officials on flood management, and thereafter he will also hold a similar meeting with the district administration of Dibrugarh on June 20.

The CM will inspect the Brahmaputra embankment near Bogibeel bridge (north bank), to check upon the preparedness of the district administration given the impending flood season around.

Sarma will also attend the International Yoga Day program at Gerukamukh on June 22, and thereafter, visit Gogamukh.

The CM will take stock of the areas prone to floods and also review the different measures put in place to avoid them.
