Assam receives 1.5 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine

 As of April 29, the total doses administered in Assam to date stand at 23,34,513.

GUWAHATI:

Assam on Thursday received 1.5 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine from the Centre, taking the total availability of doses in the state to 7,70,030.

Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “In what shall give a further boost to our #VaccinationDrive, pleased to share that Assam has received 1.5 lakh more doses of #CovishieldVaccine from Govt of India today. This takes our total availability of doses to 770030.”

As of April 29, the total doses administered in Assam to date stand at 23,34,513; 18,34,673 got their first dose; 4,99,840 received their second dose. The total number of people who got vaccinated on Thursday was 92,117.

At least 3045 cases have been reported in the state during the last 24 hours. 22 persons succumbed to COVID during that period while a 90.77 per cent recovery rate has also been reported.
