DIBRUGARH:

Bharatiya Janata Party star campaigner Manoj Tiwari on Tuesday held a roadshow in Tinsukia to campaign for incumbent MLA, Sanjay Kishan.

Tinsukia is largely dominated by the Bhojpuri community, and during elections, the community plays a crucial role to decide the fate of the candidate.

Speaking to media persons, Manoj Tiwari said, “With open hands, today I asked voters to vote for Sanjay Kishan. This is my second visit to Tinsukia. Under the BJP-led government many developmental works have happened in Assam and in coming days more will be up.”

When asked, is the Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate a factor in Tinsukia, Tiwari said, “People fled from Bihar because of the RJD’s misrule and corruption. The people of Bihar have left the ‘Jungle Raj’ in Bihar. The grand alliance would not work in Assam.”

Sanjay Kishan is a tea tribe welfare minister of Assam and belongs from tea tribe community while Hira Devi represents the Bhojpuri community.

Later, the famous Bhojpuri star campaigned for Dibrugarh sitting MLA Prasanta Phukan in Dibrugarh.
