Assam: MLA ticket is not the property of KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang, says Sum Ronghang

MLA ticket is not the property of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Chief Executive Member (CEM) Tuliram Ronghang said Sum Ronghang after submitting his nomination papers to the Returning Officer on Friday.

Sum Ronghang said that CEM Tuliram is a dictator of Karbi Anglong and all the fund allocation from the State, which is for the welfare of the society are being misused.

“At present the KAAC is prevailing under loot Raj, CEM Tuliram Ronghang should stop this nature of dictatorship in Karbi Anglong,” said Sum Ronghang.

Sum Ronghang is contesting from Diphu (ST) LAC from the Indian National Congress (INC).

It may be noted that on March 11 North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) Convenor Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Diphu and ran a campaign rally for Bharatiya Janata Party candidates namely Bidyasing Engleng from Diphu (ST) LAC and Darsing Ronghang from Howraghat (ST) LAC.

In the ensuing meeting, which was held on March 11, CEM Tuliram Ronghang said Sum Ronghang had joined the Congress party because he was denied a ticket from BJP.
