GUWAHATI:

Inspired by YouTube videos, a motor mechanic from Assam has modified an old Maruti Swift car into a sports car, a replica of the Italian luxury car Lamborghini.

Nurul Haque, who belongs from the Bhanga area in the Karimganj district of Assam, utilised limited local resources and spent nearly Rs 6.2 lakh on his astounding project.

"It was my dream to make and drive such a luxury car. I love Lamborghini cars, and finally, I have modified an old Maruti Swift car into my dream car," said 30-year-old Nurul Haque.

“It took nearly eight months to develop it,” he added.

However, the first wave of COVID-19 lockdown forced him to sit at home with no work, and that is when he started toying with the idea of building his own Lamborghini replica by customising the engine of an old Maruti Swift car.

A fan of the Fast and Furious movies, Nurul Haque said that he is planning to make a replica of Ferrari in the near future.
