Assam: Karimganj health official tests positive post-inoculation

The superintendent of Karimganj Civil Hospital tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday despite being inoculated with the second dose of the vaccine.


Sources said the test report of Dr Arunabha Choudhury, who had undergone a COVID test after facing some health-related issues, revealed that he was positive.


He has been placed under home isolation until his COVID test report comes out negative.


Although his health condition is stable, sources in the Health Department said that it was an unprecedented case,


Reportedly, the virus cannot do much harm to anyone who has taken the two vaccine doses because the vaccination process will strengthen the immune system to fight the virus.
