Assam govt to vaccinate three lakh people daily from June 21

In this regard, the government has also instructed the district administrations to ramp up infrastructure to make the mass vaccination drive a success.

GUWAHATI:

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, on Saturday, said that Assam will inoculate close to three lakh people on a daily basis starting June 21 (Monday).

Sarma held a COVID review meeting with the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of all the 34 districts and asked the health department to generate adequate awareness among the public about the importance of vaccination.

In this regard, the government has also instructed the district administrations to ramp up infrastructure to make the mass vaccination drive a success.

The Health Department will set up close to 2000 vaccination to undertake the vaccination programme.
