Sarma also informed that the government has already thought about a plan which would be finalised in consultation with the litterateur’s family members and well-wishers.

GUWAHATI:
The Assam government will take all necessary steps to preserve the creations and ideology of literary doyen Homen Borgohain, who passed away here on Wednesday.
“The Assam government will take all needful measures to keep Homen Borgohain’s invaluable creations and ideology alive among the young generation,” chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma told newsmen after attending the funeral of the writer-journalist at the Navagraha crematorium on Wednesday afternoon.
Sarma also informed that the government has already thought about a plan which would be finalised in consultation with the litterateur’s family members and well-wishers.
He further said the demise of Borgohain was a personal loss to him as he was a guardian who guided him at difficult times.
Stating that he regularly enquired about the health of the literary doyen while he was hospitalised, Sarma said the doctors had discharged him from the hospital as he desired to return home.
