Assam govt issues new SOPs, allows further relaxations

DIBRUGARH:

The Assam government on Friday issued a revised set of SOPs, offering further relaxations in activities across the state. The following directives have been put in place with immediate effect:

*Curfew will be promulgated across Assam from 10 PM to 5 AM.
*All workplaces, shops, and business establishments shall remain open till 9 PM.
*50 persons are allowed to participate in public meetings condition to being vaccinated.
*For marriage gatherings, 200 people have been allowed. The persons must be fully vaccinated to attend the same
*60 people can visit religious places at a time, provided they are vaccinated. The gathering per hour has been kept at 40.
*The government has allowed the reopening of cinema halls with 50 percent capacity. All such places must put in place appropriate COVID-19 protocols.
*Fully vaccinated teachers and students can attend schools.
*The heads of the educational institutions should make sure that the teachers and students are fully vaccinated, and a banner displaying the same must be put in front of all educational institutions.
