Assam: Dibrugarh University postpones PG exams after spike in COVID-19 cases
Controller of Examination I/C Dibrugarh University, Dr A. Baruah, announced the postponement of all PG examinations (both CBCS and Non-CBCS) that were supposed to be held on the above dates.

DIBRUGARH:
Assam’s Dibrugarh University has postponed all Post Graduate (PG) examinations scheduled to be held on April 19 and 20, 2021.
Controller of Examination I/C Dibrugarh University, Dr A. Baruah, announced the postponement of all PG examinations (both CBCS and Non-CBCS) that were supposed to be held on the above dates.
“All Departments, centre of studies and affiliated colleges/ institutions under Dibrugarh University have postponed the PG exams. Fresh dates of the postponed examinations will be notified in due course of time,” a notification issued by the university read.
Because of the recent surge of COVID-19 in Assam, the Education Department and Universities have decided to postpone the examinations, the notification stated.
On Saturday, 876 COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Assam.
Amid the fresh surge, the Assam government has also passed an order to impose a Rs 1000 fine on any person found without face masks across the districts of Assam.
