Assam: Dibrugarh district administration opens COVID call centre

DIBRUGARH:

The Deputy Commissioner's Office of Dibrugarh has introduced dedicated helplines for COVID-19 patients who are under home isolation.

The telephonic call centre provides necessary help to all the COVID-19 patients in the region and has been instituted to meet the needs of the patients.

The team from the office call COVID-19 patients in home isolation and provide important information on the protocols that are to be followed when under quarantine, including the availability of various facilities such as self-care, telemedicine etc.

Besides the call centre at the DC's office, the District COVID Control room is also functioning in the district with teams from the Disaster Management department.

In addition to the government instituted centres for COVID assistance, Marwari Arogya Bhawan Hospital and Dibrugarh Pharmaceutical wholesalers Forum in association with Dibrugarh Press Club have also launched the "AROGYA COVID AUSHADHI SEWA" for COVID patients.

Under the programme, they offer medicines to COVID-19 patients at the most subsidised rates.

The public can purchase medicines against prescription from the MAB Medicine Counter situated at Marwari Arogya Bhawan Hospital premises, Jyoti Nagar, between 8 am to 8 pm.
