DIPHU:

The Bokajan Sub-Division has imposed a lockdown for seven days in the region starting from May 15, amid the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases.

This decision was taken after a meeting with the District Administration and the Bokajan Municipal Board on May 13.

The chairman and the ward commissioners of Bokajan had suggested for creation of containment zones as preventive measures given the COVID surge.

However, the District Administration has informed that all essential services including home delivery of grocery items, and other such services will be exempted from the lockdown order and will continue to operate.
