Assam: 50-bed Covid care facility sponsored by Yuvraj Singh's foundation inaugurated at AMCH Dibrugarh

Terming the facility to be a major initiative taken to uplift health infrastructure in the region, the health minister said that in addition to COVID-19 care, the soon to be upgraded 100-bedded facility will also be utilised for treating children suffering from cancer."

DIBRUGARH:

A 50-bed Covid-19 critical care facility sponsored by cricketer Yuvraj Singh's Foundation was inaugurated by Health Minister Keshab Mahanta at the Assam Medical College Hospital (AMCH), Dibrugarh, on Thursday.

Mahanta thanked the foundation and the other stakeholders for their contribution to upgrading the health infrastructure of the hospital.

"Another important step in our fight against Covid-19. Thanks to @YUVSTRONG12 & Shabnam Singh, @YOUWECAN Foundation, Shabir Momin MD One Digital Entertainment & Kshitija Krishnaswamy MD @AccentureIndia for donating 50 bedded COVID facility with ICU & Oxygen Support at @AMCHDibrugarh (sic)," the minister said in a tweet.

The virtual inauguration of the facility was attended by Yuvraj Singh, his mother Shabnam Singh, MD of OneDigital Entertainment, Kshitija Krishnaswamy, Managing Director (Corporate Citizenship), Accenture India, and others.
