Three Arunachal cops sacked for involvement in drug trafficking

ITANAGAR:

Arunachal Pradesh Director-General of Police (DGP) RP Upadhyaya, on Tuesday, said the state police have laid off three police officials for their involvement in drug trafficking.

“The three police personnel were not drug addicts but, were found to be involved in supplying illegal drugs,” the DGP said.

This kind of involvement in the force will not be accepted, he said.

The DGP also urged the addicts within the police community to come forward and seek professional help.

"The opportunity to go to a rehab centre is an attempt to help them," he added.
