In a first, Arunachal Civil Service Officers to be trained under LBSNAA

In a first-of-kind initiative in India, Arunachal Civil Service Officers of the 2020 batch will now be trained in Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), an apex training institute for the Civil Services, Chief Minister Pema Khandu informed on Tuesday.

Taking to Twitter, the chief minister said that the four-month induction training is also being conducted in collaboration with the Arun Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management (AJNIFM), Indian Institute of Management, Shillong & North Eastern Judicial Officers Training Institute.

In order to improve service delivery, CM Khandu said that several steps have been initiated, which include the enactment of the Public Service Delivery Act 2015, the rolling out of State Training Policy, conversion of Administrative Training Institute into state-of-art.

A memorandum of understanding has also been signed with IIM, Shillong for capacity building of Government Officers, he added.
