Arunachal’s supercop Robin Hibu awarded 2nd President’s medal

Arunachal Pradesh's supercop IGP Robin Hibu was honoured for second time with President of India Distinguish Service Medal for 2017 – 2018 by Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi recently.

He was awarded the first President of India Medal for Meritorious Service was awarded in 2009 – 2010. "It was rare honour to be awarded again for second time the President of India Distinguish Service Medal,"  Hibu said adding while extending his gratitude to all his well-wishers.

Hibu is also a recipient of the U.N. Peace Medal. He received the medal twice from U.N. Secretary General Kofi Anand for his Distinguish Service in U.N. Police as U.N. Police Commander at Gjilane, Kosovo and Bosnia Herzgovina, Yugoslavia.

– Two State Arunachal Gold Medals awarded by Governor General ( Rtd) JJ Singh and Governor late RK Sharma in Itanagar.

He also received many Civil Society honours for my his efforts to trying to reach out to distress NE folks, strive to empower NE vulnerable bright youth. Some of these awards include –

– NE Angel Award.
– Guru Ka Ladla Award.
– Samajik Ratna Puraskar.
– Rashtriya Gaurav Puraskar.
– Delhi Udbhav Sahitya Samaj Seva Samman.
– Best IPS Officer Award (Newspapers Association of India ).
– Esprit De Corps Medal.

At present, IGP Robin Hibu is serving as the Joint Commissioner of Police (Operation) in Delhi Police.
