Arunachal Wushu players bag seven medals in National Championship

Arunachal Wushu players bagged four gold and three silver medals at the 29th Senior National Wushu Championship in Punjab.

They held the championship at Chandigarh University in Mohali from February 25 to March 2.

Arunachal’s Wushu Association president Toko Teki, congratulated the participants for their outstanding performances in the top national-level event.

Nyeman Wangsu bagged three gold medals in the Gunshu and Daoshu events, including a silver medal in the Chanquan event. Onilu Tega also bagged a gold medal, followed by Jimiri Lamgu winning one gold medal in the Taolu event (Baguazhang).

Also, Mepung Lamgu won two silver medals in the Taijiquan and Taijijian events.

Meanwhile, Arunachal Olympic Association secretary-general Abraham K Techi, said that the winners qualified for the National Games to be held in Goa later this year. (With inputs from Arunachal Times)
