Arunachal: Tapi Mra and Tine Mena appointed as Adventure Promotion Instructors

The Cabinet viewed that their expertise and experience in mountaineering and adventure sports will benefit the aspiring youths who have a special interest in the field.

ITANAGAR: 

The Arunachal Pradesh government, on Wednesday, announced the appointment of two mountaineers, Tapi Mra and Tine Mena, as Adventure Promotion Instructors in the Department of Youth Affairs.


The Cabinet, headed by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, acknowledged the contributions of Tapi Mra and Tine Mena, the first male and female Everesters from the state and the Northeast, and thus created the two posts.  


The Cabinet viewed that their expertise and experience in mountaineering and adventure sports will benefit the aspiring youths who have a special interest in the field.


Additionally, the Cabinet gave its formal approval to the Arunachal Pradesh Bal Seva Scheme (scheme for support to children orphaned in Covid-19 pandemic) announced by Chief Minister Pema Khandu on May 29. 

Various other developments with regards to government institutions and COVID- 19 were also laid out.
