Arunachal: Siang students' union donates money to victims of Longliang fire incident

The amount was collected following a day-long relief donation drive on March 24 at Gandhi Chowk in Pasighat main market.

The All East Siang District Students Union (AESDSU), on April 1, handed over a sum of Rs 67,621 to the victims of a recent fire incident at Longliang village under Lajo circle. 

The amount was collected following a day-long relief donation drive on March 24 at Gandhi Chowk in Pasighat main market.

The statewide donation drive for the fire victims, led by AESDSU General Secretary Tonong Darang on March 24, was joined by other federal units of AESDSU like ABSU, BBSU and LBSU in which leaders of all these Banggo students' bodies also collaborated. 

Darang has expressed gratitude to every donor, "whose little help can bring a smile back to the face of fire victims."

Two persons, including a five-year-old girl, were burnt to death and 114 houses were reduced to ashes when a fire broke out in Longliang village in Tirap district on March 18.
