ITANAGAR:

The Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly (APLA) on Monday reactivated the ‘COVID Control Room’ after Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla suggested all presiding officers set up control rooms in their respective assembly secretariats during a videoconference on April 19.

Stating that the APLA COVID Control Room did a remarkable job during the nationwide lockdown last year, Legislative Assembly Speaker P.D Sona expressed hope that volunteers would work with dedication to help the needy.

“The surge in the coronavirus cases across the country is very serious,” Sona said.

Meanwhile, APLA secretary Kago Habung lauded the volunteers for turning up in large numbers and assured them all help from his side.

“All possible help would be extended from the assembly,” he said.
