2 minor girls allegedly raped in Tripura

AGARTALA:

Two minor girls were allegedly gang-raped in the Baribari area of Champahaor under Khowai district on Monday, sources in the police department informed.

The two minor girls were aged 4 and 15 years old, respectively.

According to reports, eight youths were involved in this act and the police have arrested six of them until the filing of this report.

The victims have been admitted to GBP Hospital in Agartala and Khowai District Hospital.

According to police and locals, the girls were called from their home at 7 pm and taken to an unknown place where the entire incident took place.

“The girls knew the boys, so they did not hesitate to go with them.” police informed.

Meanwhile, the six accused have been identified as Jagu Debbarma, Bimal Debbarma, Michael Debbarma, Rishita Debbarma, Jewel Debbarma, Nitish Debbarma.

They were immediately handed over to the police for further legal action.
