U-17 World Cup: Is Guwahati ready to host the global event?

India will host the U-17 World Cup in the coming year and there have been a lot of speculation that most of the stadiums are not ready for the event. A team led by event manager Marion Mayer-Vorfelder will visit the country and inspect the 6 stadiums between October 19 and 25. The deadline for the stadiums to be at world class standard is October and the last time the stadiums were inspected, there were problems with the stadiums in New Delhi and Guwahati.

The six stadiums selected to host the global event are Kochi, Kolkata, New Delhi, Guwahati, Goa and Navi Mumbai.
