Thunder Wheelz 2016 to enthral motorsport lovers of NE India this December!

GUWAHATI: With steep uphill and downhill grades, wet or muddy areas, motorcyclists are going to compete at the most awaited motorbike festival 'Thunder Wheelz 2016', an event by Premiere Club of Guwahati. Supercross is going to be the most physically demanding motorcycle sport of the event, although its races are quite short -1.6km for each lap of the race. Supercross will run on artificial dirt tracks constructed in the venue with the aim to uplift and give a platform to all the motorcyclists to showcase their talents. Multitudinous participates from every corner of the country are expected to turn out in the prestigious event.

"General awareness about motorsport is to be created in the state. The masses have a negative attitude towards motorsports and the drivers/riders which has been brought forth due to factors relating to behaviour, recklessness and so on. The main aspect relating to all motorsports is ADRENALINE. The adrenaline rush unites the motorsports enthusiasts together. The adrenaline level varies from each individual which is why the aggression. Motorsport requires controlled aggression. There is need to inculcate the values of discipline and dedication amongst the organizers/drivers/riders.

In fact, the natural terrain of Assam is very conducive for motorsports. Though there are vast areas vacant, there is not a permanent place, to be precise, a track where organizers/drivers/riders could organize events or practice regularly. The drivers/riders are naturally talented with their day to day driving/riding on the twisty and bumpy roads they negotiate daily. They are fearless and courageous; the only need being guidance, practice and nurturing their talent.

Premier Club will be instrumental in bringing about a collective change among the masses with regard to motorsport. There will be awareness programs not only for the general masses but also for the motorsport enthusiasts as there will be need to educate and guide both groups" Jishu Sharma added (Secretary of Premiere Club).

Thunder Wheelz  2016 will provide a platform for showcasing a wide plethora of talents which will include Supercross, Rock Concert, Fashion Show, DJ, Ethnic Food, Fun Games, Camping, Photography, BMX Competition and B-boying Competition.
